Jebel Jais Mountain Run
The greatest driving road in the Middle East
Jebel Jais is the UAE's highest peak at 1,934 metres, and the road to the summit is widely considered the best driving road in the Arabian Peninsula. Starting from Ras Al Khaimah (90 minutes north of Dubai), the road climbs through 30 kilometres of switchbacks, hairpins, and elevation changes that would feel at home in the Swiss Alps. The surface is impeccable — freshly laid tarmac with clear markings and barriers. The views are staggering — jagged limestone mountains dropping into valleys that stretch to the horizon. For driving enthusiasts, this is the reason to rent a supercar in Dubai. Nothing else in the UAE comes close.
